WHAT CARE CAN INCLUDE
Duties depend on professional training, scope, and your agreed care plan. Feeding and recovery concerns that need clinical care are referred to qualified providers.
Soothing, diapering, bathing, newborn cues and routines, and babywearing guidance when appropriately trained.
Practical feeding support, bottle and pump care, and help finding qualified resources when needed. Your feeding choices are respected.
Time to rest, eat, shower, or be with another child. Support may include simple meals, baby-related tasks, and sibling transition.
Prepare for changing routines, parental leave ending, and a thoughtful handoff into longer-term childcare.
CLEAR BEFORE YOU COMMIT
Confirm availability, relevant qualifications, the scope of support, written fees, and backup arrangements. Doula care is non-medical and works alongside your licensed healthcare team.
